Walking Tours

Virtually the only way to see Venice is on foot. While the city is small, there are no straight lines, and we can almost guarantee that you will get lost if you stray outside of traditional tourist areas.

However, we are PreserVenice, and we are not interested in the traditional ways of looking at Venice. We genuinely hope that you do get lost in Venice, and we don't need convincing that the experience of being lost in Venice is far superior to the standard, tired tourist routes.

That said, we want you to enjoy your time in Venice. If getting lost isn't on your itinerary, that's fine with us! To help you find your way around Venice, and to inspire you to look a bit more closely at your surroundings in this one-of-a-kind city, we have assembled three walking routes that take you, in the most direct manner possible, from each of the "big three" sights in Venice (San Marco, Accademia, and Rialto) to the others.

Each route has been annotated with the most interesting pieces of public art along it, along with some history and general information. We hope you find these routes informative and useful.
